Our friend and co-worker John Osborne passed away July 13th, 2017 from an undiagnosed heart condition known as dilated cardiomyopathy. We knew we had to do something special when we heard the tragic news.  You don't just send flowers when someone like John passes. You honor a giant with a giant sandwich. Right then and there we decided a sandwich was going on our menus in his honor. That sandwich, The Plaid Pig, will help raise funds for a lasting endowment in John’s name at Schoolcraft College. And you know what? We think John would really enjoy this one. PLAID PIG SCHOLARSHIP

Join The Detroit City Distillery & SLOWS BAR BQ at the launch of the distillery’s first ever single barrel bourbon. Come celebrate with craft cocktails and a multi-course harvest menu created by seven local culinary stars to benefit The John T. Osborne Plaid Pig Culinary Endowment at Schoolcraft College.
