Join us for our 3rd Annual Corktown Aglow - a Corktown Business Association event Presented By Ford Motor Company and powered by countless Corktown small businesses. 

When: Saturday, December 8th starting at noon with festivities until 10pm. 

Stop by Corktown on Saturday, December 8th for heaps of holiday fun and family friendly festivities throughout the neighborhood including time with Santa and a tree lighting ceremony.

’TIS THE SEASON TO GIVE
We’re collecting new unwrapped toys & warm items to ‘Stuff a Cop Car’ with The Detroit Police Department. Donated items will be distributed by the 3rd Precinct Adopt-A-Family Program. 

WE’RE COLLECTING THE FOLLOWING DONATED ITEMS FROM 4-6PM AT TRUMBULL AVE + BAGLEY ST:
New unwrapped toys
New socks, blankets, gloves, hats, scarves
New or gently used coats and sweaters

1-4PM / HOLIDAY PARTY AT PAL / FREE FUN FOR KIDS AT MICHIGAN AVE & COCHRANE ST
-The Pistons Street Team and Hooper the Pistons Mascot will be at PAL from 2-3pm with a 50% discount off Upper Bowl tickets for the December 17th and December 23rd games at Little Caesars Arena
-Detroit City Futbol Club will be leading a free outdoor soccer clinic 
-Make & Take Crafts (ornament, drum, picture frame or jewelry)
-Children’s Only Shoppe brought to you by Mama Coo’s 
-Reindeer Games
-Fowling brought to you by PJ’s Lager House

12-6PM / CORKTOWN SHOPPING + DINING EXPERIENCE
NAUGHTY & NICE BINGO
-To play, simply get a Corktown Aglow passport on Saturday, Dec. 8th at any participating Corktown business or on the Corktown Aglow free shuttle
-Stop at highlighted businesses throughout Corktown to get a stamp - 5 stamps in a row and you’ve got a bingo!
-Bring your winning card to The Farmer’s Hand before 6pm on Corktown Aglow and win amazing prizes donated by our Corktown businesses & neighbors (until supplies lasts). Grand prize is Dinner for two at Iridescence and a one night stay at Motor City Casino Hotel.

10-6pm / Ponyride Holiday Makers Market -Shop from over 50 local Detroit makers 
12-6pm / Corktown Marketplace at Trumbull + Bagley 

12-6PM / THE WORKERS ROW HOUSE + CORKTOWN EXPERIENCE / AT SIXTH ST + LABROSSE ST
-Learn more about Corktown’s historic past at this experiential museum. Take a step back in time as you walk through a modest working-class house that has not been modified since it was built in 1849
-Singers & warming fire pit

3-6PM / RUDOLPH + REINDEER PETTING ZOO / AT TRUMBULL AVE & LEVERETTE ST 
-Meet Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and his reindeer friends at the Reindeer Petting Zoo provided by Bobcat Bonnie’s
-Hang with The Grinch

5-7PM / SANTA COMES TO CORKTOWN / AT TRUMBULL AVE + BAGLEY ST
-Roast complimentary marshmallows over an open fire thanks to The Farmer’s Hand
-Enjoy free hot chocolate provided by Mudgie’s Deli & Wine Shop
-Snap a photo with Santa and his elves 
-Meet the Detroit Mounted Police

6PM / 3RD ANNUAL CORKTOWN TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY / AT TRUMBULL AVE + BAGLEY ST
-Caroling immediately following the ceremony led by opera singer Giles Simmer and the Detroit Alumni Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota & friends
-1st Annual Corktown Historical Society Holiday Home Decorating Contest winner announcement

7-10PM / AFTER AGLOW PARTY / AT TRUMBULL AVE + BAGLEY ST
-All-ages Block Party! Heated tent, Greg Mudge on the 1s and 2s, and Santa hitting the dance floor
-Beer, cocktails, and bites for purchase
-Come hang with your Corktown neighbors and friends

7-10PM / FREE AFTER HOURS SHUTTLE
The Detroit Bus Co. will be shuttling people around Corktown + Downtown into the evening
-Stores will be open late and celebrating the holidays with you. And of course, our Corktown bars and restaurants are the perfect hangs to spend an evening with friends and family.
